The Gas and NGL Advisor role is an expert in natural gas and NGL markets.They must perform and communicate market analysis in support of a diverse set of CVX Enterprise stakeholders from the Executive team to multiple Business Units. The position is on the Natural Gas Team in our Market and Price Forecasting Team within Chevron Strategy and Sustainability. The advisor role leads, supports, or performs natural gas and NGL market analysis in support of strategic planning and market forecasting activities. The advisor must be able to clearly communicate both orally and in writing market analysis The role collaborates across the enterprise to analyze, align, & communicate key messages regarding natural gas and NGL market conditions and their business implications. The advisor will demonstrate ingenuity in analytical approach, work execution & performance improvement. The role will also help to build organization capability in natural gas and NGL market principles through mentoring and outreach across enterprise.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Analyze business impacts of regulatory or environmental changes, shifting production forecasts & supply/demand balances, etc.

  • Monitor industry trends and help develop market forecasts for natural gas and NGL markets

  • Develop Points of View (POV) on trends/future direction and communicate to internal stakeholders

  • Manage significant data input in coordination with cross-enterprise subject matter experts (SMEs)

  • Collaborate across Enterprise SME and stakeholder groups to ensure a collaborative yet single market view for gas and NGLs across the Enterprise

  • Multi-functional project teams on new business and process initiatives

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Extensive of experience in any of, or a combination of commercial analytics in chemicals, energy, manufacturing/refining

  • Fundamental understanding of gas & NGLs

  • Team player and ability to work in fast-paced environment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Digital mindset and innovative thinker

  • Believe in getting results the right way

Preferred qualifications:

  • Business or technical (in economics/statistics) degree

  • MBA or Masters in Economics/Statistics
